Thalassemia Awareness Drives
Thalassemia is not just a medical condition; it is a lifelong struggle for patients and their families. In Malda, where there is no dedicated thalassemia care unit and only one blood bank, lack of awareness often leads to late diagnosis and preventable suffering. To address this, Team Save Life Foundation has made Thalassemia Awareness Drives one of its core initiatives.
Through these drives, we reach schools, villages, and local communities to educate people about genetic testing, prevention, and timely care. We speak to parents, youths, and newly married couples about the importance of screening before childbirth so that lives can be saved even before they begin. Each awareness session empowers families with knowledge and gives them the courage to act early. By breaking myths and creating informed communities, we are planting the seeds for a future where thalassemia no longer ruins lives.
